[Law proposal] DRAFT Chinese law [Investigation USA responsibility]

#1 Post by Hartzell »

Examination of the USA Taiwan relationship from the 1940s to the present reveals many examples where US policy is in disorder. The result has been injury to the
human rights of the Taiwan people.

The subject of Taiwan's international legal status has long been a contentious issue, and scholars from leading world countries, as well as Taiwan, have given their views.
The promulgations of the ROC/Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on this issue are available on the internet.

Development of appropriate National Defense capability is an important part of the Taiwan people's planning for the future. Unfortunately, due to the uncertainty
regarding ROC/Taiwan's legal status and the "One China policy" accepted by the majority of world countries, the supply of defensive weapons to Taiwan is often found
to be severely restricted. At the same time, the defense budget of the PRC, already ____ times that of Taiwan, is reportedly increasing by double digit percentages
every year. The PRC has an announced goal of the annexation of Taiwan.

In order to maintain an adequate level of national security in Taiwan, it is worthy of investigation to consider the question of: Based on the laws, precedent, and
international legal principles recognized by the United States, are there any valid legal arguments to say that the United States should directly take responsibility
for some significant percentage of Taiwan's defense needs?

The following Act serves to promote research, investigation, and coordination on this important issue.

The Executive Yuan should establish a committee

Article 2, etc.)

In doing this research and investigation, where the perspective under US law is different from that under Taiwan law, the US perspective shall be accepted.
